These are standard terms meant to be clear and fair. We're not asking you to sign anything — if you have questions, call us.
The short version
We're a family-run flooring company. When you fill out a form or call us, we collect just enough to give you a quote and show up to your house. That's it. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad pixels, and we don't share your info with anyone who isn't directly helping us complete your project.
What we collect
When you use our website, contact form, or Floor-E, we may collect:
- Your name — so we know who to ask for when we call
- Your phone number — to schedule the measure and confirm install day
- Your email address — for written quotes, invoices, and appointment reminders
- Your address — so we can measure and deliver materials
- Project details — rooms, square footage estimates, product preferences
We also use Plausible Analytics to see which pages people visit. Plausible is privacy-first — it doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other sites. We see page counts, not people.
Leads and project records live in a Supabase database we control, hosted in the US.
What we DON'T collect
- Credit card numbers. If you pay by card, that runs through Stripe. If you apply for financing, that runs through Wisetack. We never see or store the card number itself.
- Cross-site tracking. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no ad retargeting on our site.
- Location data beyond the address you give us.
Who we share it with
Only the people who need it to do your job:
- Our selected installation partners — name, address, phone, and the scope of work needed to complete your job
- Wisetack — only if you apply for financing, and only what they need to approve you
- Stripe — only to process a payment you authorize
- Nobody else. We don't sell, rent, or trade customer lists. Ever.
We may disclose information if a court order requires it, but that's a bridge we haven't had to cross.
How long we keep it
- Active leads and projects: kept as long as the project is ongoing.
- Completed jobs: kept for 2 years after the final install date (useful for warranty claims, then deleted).
- Earlier deletion: email us and we'll clear your record sooner. No arguments.
Your rights
At any time, you can ask us to:
- See what we have on file for you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information
Just email support@athomeflooring.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and we'll take care of it within a few business days.
SMS / text messaging
If you provide a mobile phone number and consent to messaging (via the contact form, during a consult, or in response to a HELP message), we may send you text messages related to your project:
- Quote confirmations
- Appointment reminders
- Install scheduling updates
- Payment confirmations and receipts
- Warranty follow-up
Our SMS program is operated on our behalf by Twilio. We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in information with any third party for marketing purposes. Your mobile number is only used by At Home Flooring LLC and Twilio to deliver the messages you've opted into.
- Message frequency varies — typically 1 to 5 messages per month during an active project, fewer otherwise.
- Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan. We don't charge you anything for SMS.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can book a consult and buy flooring from us without opting in to SMS.
- Opt out anytime by replying STOP to any message. You'll stop receiving texts immediately. Reply HELP for support, or call us at (630) 584-5812.
- Carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cookies
We use session cookies only — small pieces of data that keep the site working while you're browsing (remembering your Floor-E selections, for example). They expire when you close the tab. No marketing cookies, no third-party trackers.
Children
Our services aren't aimed at kids. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update the Last Updated date at the top and post the new version here. Big changes, we'll flag on the homepage.
