Who we are
At Home Flooring LLC is a family-owned flooring company based in Naperville, IL. We've been installing floors across 190+ western Chicago suburbs and surrounding towns since 2014. Paul runs the business and the At Home Flooring team coordinates every job from first visit to finished floor with our selected installation partners.
Quotes and estimates
Our website offers tools like Floor-E that give you an instant ballpark price based on the info you provide. These are estimates only — helpful for planning, but not a binding contract.
The real price comes after we measure your space in person. After the in-home measure, we send you a written quote. Once you sign that, the price is locked — no surprise upcharges after the crew shows up.
If the job changes (you add a room, switch products, discover subfloor damage), we'll talk it through and update the quote before doing the extra work.
Booking a consult
Consults and in-home measures are free. No obligation, no high-pressure pitch. If the quote isn't right for you, that's fine — we'd rather you pick the right floor than the wrong one.
Installation scope
We install carpet, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), hardwood, and related products. Our Lifetime Installation Warranty covers labor defects — things like seams coming apart, wrinkles, transition failures, or click-lock separation caused by how we installed it. It does NOT cover:
- Manufacturer defects in the flooring itself (those go through the product warranty)
- Damage from spills, pets, sunlight, or normal wear
- Moving furniture later (we move it once on install day; after that, it's on you)
- Acts of God — floods, burst pipes, foundation shifts
Product warranties
The floor itself is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by product:
- DreamWeaver, Shaw, Mohawk, Engineered Floors, GreenTouch, Turku — typically 15-year to lifetime coverage on materials
- Terms vary — we'll hand you the paperwork on install day and walk you through it
If a product fails under warranty, we'll help you file the claim. That's part of what we do.
Payment terms
- 25% deposit at signing (typical — may vary for larger jobs)
- Balance due on completion, the day we finish install
- We accept check, card (via Stripe), and Wisetack financing for qualified customers
Cancellation
Life happens. Here's how we handle it:
- 72+ hours before install: no charge, full refund of deposit
- Within 48 hours: a restocking fee may apply if materials have already been cut or ordered (we'll tell you the amount before charging)
- Day-of: please try to avoid this — crews are already loaded up and on the way
SMS program terms
By providing your mobile phone number to At Home Flooring LLC (via the contact form, during a consult, or by replying to one of our texts), you consent to receive transactional text messages from us related to your project.
- Program name: At Home Flooring customer notifications
- Message types: quote confirmations, appointment reminders, install scheduling updates, payment receipts, warranty follow-up
- Message frequency: varies by project stage — typically 1 to 5 messages per month during an active project, fewer otherwise
- Consent is NOT a condition of purchase. You can book a consult, get a quote, or buy flooring from us without opting in to SMS.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. No follow-up messages will be sent.
- Help: reply HELP to any message for support, or call (630) 584-5812.
- Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan.
- Carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and other major US carriers) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers: all major US carriers.
Our SMS program is operated on our behalf by Twilio. We don't share your mobile number or opt-in information with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full data-handling terms.

If something goes wrong
Call us first. Really. Almost every problem we've ever had has been fixable with a phone call and a return visit. Formal disputes are a last resort — we'd rather just make it right.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any legal dispute that can't be resolved by talking goes to a court in DuPage or Will County, IL.
Changes
We may update these terms as the business grows. When we do, we'll change the Last Updated date at the top. Continuing to use our services after an update means you're good with the new version.
