Carpet Service

Loose carpet?
We’ll stretch it out.

Wrinkles, bumps, and bubbles usually mean the carpet has pulled loose from the tack strip — not that it’s done. A professional re-stretch almost always fixes it, and it’s a fraction of the cost of replacement.

What to expect

Same-day result, typically.

We use a power stretcher — the right tool — which pulls the carpet tight across the whole room and re-seats it on the tack strip. Most rooms are done in 30–60 minutes.

If we open the carpet back and find underlying issues (seam failure, subfloor moisture, major wear), we’ll tell you honestly whether stretching is worth it or whether a replacement makes more sense.

We do full carpet service for the western Chicago suburbs — stretches, seam repairs, pet-damage patches, and transitions. If you’re not sure whether your problem is fixable, send photos through Floor-E and we’ll take a look.

When stretching is the answer

  • • Visible wrinkles or ripples across a room
  • • Bumps near doorways or under furniture
  • • Carpet that feels loose or “floats” when walked on
  • • Carpet pulling away from tack strip at the edges
  • • Recently moved heavy furniture that caused shifting

When replacement may be better

  • • Widespread matting or crushed pile in traffic paths
  • • Carpet older than ~15 years with visible wear
  • • Multiple seams that have come apart
  • • Pet urine that has reached the subfloor / pad
  • • Burns, large tears, or major staining

We’ll tell you honestly — no pressure to upgrade.

Send Floor-E the details.

A couple of lines about what’s going on and we’ll get you on the schedule.
